Besides quality issues, another major cause of battery failure is improper dimensioning. Interestingly, heavy load is good for batteries as the battery voltage which corresponds to the 100% depth of discharge (DOD) is around 8v and your Inverter would have shut down before the battery gets to 100% DOD.
Usually, most inverter cut-off voltage is 10.5. However, for light load, the battery voltage that corresponds to 100% DOD is around 11v. Thus, the inverter will usually always do 100% DOD before battery beeps and shut down. To avoid this:
1. You can set your battery cut off voltage to around 11.5 for light load or
2. Use appropriate battery capacity for the load, 100AH or 200AH as the case may be.
